First post of 2010... in this blog anyway.

There's way too much stuff to cover what the hell's been going on all week. I'm pretty confused as I'm trying to figure how to start this off.

I've received two things today. The first thing I bought was a HORI Real Arcade Pro EX-SE. What makes the SE different from the regular EX? This one contains a LS-32 and some PS-14-Gs; so in other words, it's all Seimitsu parts. I've bought two for $89.99US each over at amazon.com and had these shipped to a friend's house over at Rochester, NY because his wife is visiting there at the time, and she would then bring them back here in Toronto. I had to buy two of these because one of the guys I owe money to wanted one as well. The bad thing was that by the time my friend's wife left NY, only ONE stick had arrived (which I already picked up) and I have to figure out a way to ship out the other. That is... if the other one even arrives at all. It's been literally a month now and I'm slowly growing impatient. Ah well.

The second thing I bought was Kotobukiya's 霧雨魔理沙 (Marisa Kirisame) statue that I preordered several months back on Paletweb. After hearing about Elixir's misfortune with his status, I was a little afraid that mine would end up the same way. When it did arrive, everything in the box turned out to be alright. I've tried putting the pieces together (the broom is so fucking hard to put in the first time, but the ribbon+figure was pretty easy) and after about 15 minutes later, everything's put in place and I must say, it looks pretty damn nice. $79.99+$24 EMS is totally worth it.

Aside from the stuff I got, there were way too many events going on in my life for the past several days (a week, even). As you all know, my grandmother had passed away on Dec. 31st, 2009 and her funeral was today. It's pretty odd though. I was honestly expecting to bawl my eyes out, but when I attended today, I didn't cry at all. Not one bit. I keep thinking to myself that I'm probably cold-hearted for not openly showing compassion or anything so I don't know. Maybe it's because I've finally accepted that I won't be able to ever see her again, as horribly sad as it is.

I've been watching a lot of the SDA Marathon this weekend, since it's quite nice to see a bunch of guys speedrunning 72 games in 1 hour for the sake of charity. Everything I've seen so far have been nothing short of amazing, including the raping of Megaman 1-3, Megaman X-X3, Contra, Super C, Contra III, TMNT (The TMNT speedrun in particular is fucking hilarious due to the severe sprite glitching halfway through the game). I think they're doing FF6 right now as their final game to speedrun, and I'm not watching it simply because I'm not a huge FF fan (despite me thinking FF6 was the best one ever). Either way, I'll definitely go back to watching all the other stuff I've missed while I was out.

That's pretty much all I can say at this point. Here are some random pictures of my weekly/daily life. またね〜
