I didn't think I'd come back here once again.

I've recently had to deal with some drama among parents yet again. I honestly don't know how you guys would normally deal with the situation where the parents are fighting amongst each other but I'm pretty sick of it myself.

It's always my dad starting the fights anyway. Last week, it was once again over money; and just like all the other fights that have occurred in the past while, it always end with something in the house breaking.

It was the first time ever that I, myself, have been physically involved with the fight; between me and my dad. Whatever. There's just absolutely no bond between father and son anymore, and I personally don't care. He's a smoker, so I'm pretty much waiting for cancer to kick in. Guess who's going to be the one dancing on his grave when it happens.

What's new in Stepmania LiteBlue 4.02

I've been meaning to release this for a while now. This is just a minor bugfix again.

[FIX] Missing graphics in ScreenEvaluation when simultaneous 2P is played.

[FIX] Changed font in all Option-related menus.

[REMOVE] Removed Course Editor in the Title screen.

ACGパーティーのこと

Last night's ACG Party was pretty awesome. I was put in charge of the entire gaming section for the duration of the entire party. I think it's pretty much an honor to be hired by someone to take over the entire gaming, and ever since that night, Tim (founder of ACG) asked me to become a permanent GM (Game Master) for their organization.

I apologize in advance if the pictures are quite crappy, as these were taken by my cell phone.

This is a picture of my gaming setup minus the TVs, which came about an hour later after this picture was taken. It mainly consists of my JPX360 and two PS2s. One of them was supposed to be
a dedicated Pop'n Music console, while the other PS2 was supposed to be mostly for fighting games (Fate/Unlimited Codes, Melty Blood: Actress Again, MvC2, etc.)

Ron is apparently in a band and their set was being set up while I was taking this picture.
Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of the duration of the party because I was busy working at my booth to remember taking pictures. A probably even more unfortunate situation I had on my hands during the party is that at the beginning of the party, the Pop'n Music ASC started to malfunction. I'm not sure why, but the buttons were randomly going off on its own, most likely because of faulty wiring (or the PCB might have died). Miraculously, the Controller started to work again after an hour of it breaking down, only to have another misfortune happen. The DDR pad started to fail and I had to put it out of commission for the rest of the party.

Other than that, everyone seemed to love Pop'n Music, Blazblue, and MBAA; Those three were the games that seem to be played the most throughout the party. I'm too lazy to comment on the rest of the events, except this one bid war I had been involved in with Draa during the silent auction over this one Touhou Artbook. If you were there during the party, the format of the auction was that there was a sheet of paper that you had to write down your name and the bid you're willing to pay for the artbook. Most of the paper consisted of

Well, she basically won because she bid at least 34.75 and I didn't want to bid another quarter. Then after looking around YAJ to get the book for myself, I really should've bid $35 on it because it's going for between 4200円 to 4800円. Oh well.

I'll write a new blog entry soon to show my maintenance progress with my Pop'n Music controller and possibly my DDR pad.

Opening up shop once again.

Here's the deal. I need money. You probably want something off me. Let's make the two sides intertwine to create... well... satisfaction met for both ends.

学校のこと。

今週の水曜日は日本語クラスに在ります。でも・・・この日本語クラスは期末試験が在ります。これは難しいそう・・そして、頑張りましょうかな。

えと・・今日「悪魔城ドラキュラ」が遊びます。これが好きです、でも、とてもとても難しいな。≧д≦；；

I can't believe it's all gone...

I've recently been self-convinced to switch to 64-bit Win7 to make the most out of the hardware I have on this PC. (Considering it sucks that 32-bit OSs even have a max RAM limit of 3.4 GB)

So a few hours later, I've finally reformatted. Great. 64-bit Windows 7, my RAM finally shows up as 4.00GB rather than 3.4. Awesome. I proceed to move all the stuff I've backed up back to the main hard drive.

Or so I thought I backed everything up.

I was done moving everything else, then I get to where I thought I backed up all of my pictures, and as it turned out, the folder which I thought I backed up all my pictures in was completely empty. I just sat there for 5 minutes straight in complete shock. I ended up forgetting to back up the pictures the entire time before proceeding to format+install 64-bit Windows7.

So now I'm in a complete stump where I can't do anything about it and it's tearing me apart knowing I can't get any of those pictures back.
All the pictures I've taken.
All the pictures I've saved up.
All the memories I've cherished.

3 years worth of all that is gone because I forgot to do one simple task.

FML. For the past week, nothing has gone right so far. I feel I should just end it all.

Fire.

I've received terrible news a couple hours ago when my mom randomly called me while I was in class and told me this.

"Khoa...did you hear what happened? Q***'s house has burned down..everyone's there, watching... helicopters are everywhere... everyone in the house were just standing there watching their home get burnt down to nothing... they're all crying..."

In addition to that, I heard that the mother went through so much psychological damage that she fainted during (or after) the fire.

Believe it or not, fire traumatizes everyone in our family much more than one would think. I've actually been involved in an accident about 12 years ago where my dad and his friends got drunk around the fireplace while it was lit up, and as a joke, my dad pushed me into the fireplace and I ended up having a few area on my body burnt. Needless to say, it's when my hatred for him started in the first place and I'll still never forgive him for that and all the other things he's done to me.

Strangely enough, a month ago, my dad did something horribly stupid that -almost- got our house burnt down to the ground, but my grandpa (that lived next door) saw the fire and put it out before it spread. Apparently, my dad threw out a cigarette and didn't realized the cigarette was still lit and actually caught fire to something. It if wasn't for grandpa to put out the fire, I guess we wouldn't have a home either.

I really hope Q*** and the others are okay though. They can't even do much either because the cars in the garage got crushed from the house collapsing (as a result from the fire). I really hope things get better for them. Losing a house and everything in it is possibly the worst thing that can ever happen in someone's life. At least it's not their lives that were lost in the fire...

Guys, get through! I really don't want to lose you guys.
